Technical Sales Executive

Performance Products – Paper, Construction and Industrial
Gauteng

 

International raw material supplier has a vacancy for the abovementioned who will promote and sell products in order to meet budget, develop and maintain relationships with clients, identify new clients and products that could be a 'value add' to the client.


Responsibilities:
Identify new customers, develop and promote sales to them by presenting the range of products available.
Offer prompt, effective technical support to customers according to a call plan in order to maintain existing business and close customer contact, resolve customer queries or complaints
and develop new markets.
Promote new products to both existing and potential customers.
Assist with customer product trials as needed.
Identify market needs which would complement our product basket.
Compile a detailed monthly report for the supervising Business Manager.
Achieve budgeted sales and margins as defined annually.
Obtain, record and update detailed information on the usage of products by customers.
Ensure that updated prices are communicated to customers.
Report on market activities and competitor activity to the Business Manager in accordance with the company’s Reporting Procedure.
Follow up bad debts under direction from Accounts department.
Carry out administration duties.
Set budgets and monthly forecast by product by customer.
Attend joint customer visits with suppliers.
Render technical assistance periodically if needed in the regions.
Share market and technical feedback within the Performance Products team.


Requirements:
Matric
Tertiary qualification – Pulp & Paper Technology.
Computer literate – ideally competent in Microsoft Office.
Minimum five years recent technical sales experience of Paper, Industrial, Construction ingredients / raw materials.
