Vacancy for technical sales representative who will manage portfolio in terms of profitability and growth required at well known raw material distributor. Responsibilities:
Sales of raw materials into the pharmaceutical sector.
Prepare business plan that will provide strategy for growth and sales targets for budgets.
Maintain customer data base relating to own customers and update reports on a weekly basis.
Manage stock as well as reducing debtors days.
Gather intelligence on industry activities.
Provide technical support to customers and colleagues.
Keep abreast of advances in the industry and introduce these products via allocated principals.


Requirements:
BSc Chemistry/Pharmacology
Proven track record in the sales of raw materials into the pharmaceutical industry
5 yrs sales exp in the abovementioned sector

Technical Sales Manager


Baking Sector

Well established company in the food manufacturing sector has a vacancy for the abovementioned who will manage and grow the business in Gauteng inline with the business unit strategy and also provide technical support whilst focussing on Key Account Sales. Responsibilities:
Maintaining customer focused sales approach.
Developing relationships with key decision makers.
Technical trouble shooting at bakery level, problem solving, resolving complaints.
Increasing sales volume and value primarily for yeast, but also across product categories.
Achieving profit margins.
Price negotiations and product costing.
Preparing for, and attending tradeshows.
Forecasting and planning.
Reporting on sales variances, market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities.
Regional budget preparation.

Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in field of food technology /baking/sales and marketing advantageous
Min 5 years sales experience in FMCG
Technical Baking experience essential
Fully computer literate in MS Office
Code 8 driver’s license
Acceptance to be on call 24/7

Well known fruit grower and processor has a vacancy for the above mentioned. This deadline driven incumbent will manage export and local Account Managers to ensure that the business strategy is achieved in terms of local and export sales.

Requirements:
BSc Agric or B.Com, MBA advantageous
Min of 5 yrs management exp within the fruit export sector
Excellent knowledge of the fresh fruit production/marketing industry.
Knowledge of the Middle and Far Eastern Market customer base advantageous
Knowledge of Fruit software platforms e.g.Palbroker/QX

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the sales and marketing function and performance in international markets.
Development and inplementation of international retail strategy.
Drive profitability and growth by setting out robust strategic plans in existing and emerging markets.
Develop and evaluate short and long-term commercial objectives, in line with overall business strategy.
Monthly financial reporting (check the reliability and relevance of the financial data reported) and performance analyses.
Propose adaptations to improve gross margin and economic performance.
Preparation and presentation of the annual commercial budget and 5-year strategic plan.
Analyse international market trends and challenges in the fruit and fruit processing environment.
Industry research about competitors and market prices.
New business development through fresh revenue streams and by exploring new market opportunities, including new product development (NPD).
Building and maintaining relationships with global key accounts by targeting senior management and purchasing professionals in large
multinational businesses.
Key role in developing and designing the customer value proposition for the enterprise segments and verticals (including price plans,
products and promotions).
Management of the quoting process - price quotes, strong margins and ensuring conversion rates for quote success.
Responsible for optimal pricing of products, campaigns and offers to maximize profitability of the various product lines.
Meeting budgeted operations, gross margin and departmental overhead targets.
Margin analysis and the effect of exchange rates, volume, price and product mix on revenue and profitability.
Compiling and execution of new project feasibilities and financial models.
Negotiating terms and conditions with key suppliers.
Effective supply chain management.
Manage inventory control program for finished goods, ensure minimal stock write-offs.
Develop and lead a team of competent, dedicated staff members and inspire them to achieve performance excellence.
Facilitate the continuous improvement in cost effectiveness and resource optimisation across all departments.
Overall operational efficiency of the business function in respect of system rollouts, installations and customer support – both from a
financial as well as a technical perspective.
Drafting, negotiation and adhering of supply contracts and other legal instruments.
