Production Planner


Well known company has a vacancy for a production planner who will ensure production planning on SAP is done timeously to meet business demand requirements, optimise on efficiency constraints and ensure that raw materials and packaging components are on site for production plan to be executed. Production and Material Planning
Daily updating of plan vs actual
Daily reporting of issues experienced
Daily releasing of orders for production
Daily creation of orders to check materials
Weekly summary of plan, and output
Ensure KPI’s are communicated to all impacted departments
Ensure that OTIF of 98% is achieved
Ordering of all raw material and packaging components required for production.
Daily Ordering of Oil, vinegar, vegetables, pallets and bottles
Daily follow up with suppliers for deliveries
Checking of open order status and ensuring nothing is late
Ensuring that forecasts are sent to suppliers to secure materials
Ensuring that orders are placed within lead time and production is not impacted
Ensure that open orders are sent to suppliers bi-weekly to ensure alignment
Ensure that any deviations or non supply is communicated to all impacted departments to ensure no impact on OTIF
Adhoc Inventory requests:
Processing of Stock adjustments for stock corrections
Processing of stock adjustments for SLOB (slow moving and obsolete stock)
Follow up on SLOB movements and shelf life extensions
Highlighting of all potential expired stock and also overstock situations based on reduced Customer orders to FC(forecast)
Monthly reporting of stock levels and categorization of Inventory
Closely following Safety, Quality will also receive highest priority.
Report non-conformances immediately to Quality department and ensure that immediate corrective action is taken.
Ensure that all production is scheduled following allergen control matrix.
Safety & Housekeeping
Ensuring a high standard of safety and good housekeeping and that plant & activities complies with conditions stipulated within the OHS Act
Report incidents (Injuries and losses) in the section

Seamer Mechanic

Food Manufacturing

Well known food manufacturer has a vacancy for a seamer mechanic who will be responsible for repairing and ensuring reliability of plant

Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF), HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Effectively and accurately troubleshoot and make routine adjustments and repairs to industrial equipment and machinery in order to maintain
production and maintenance schedules.
Monitor repairs and validate that the problem has been solved.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance as assigned, including cleaning and lubricating in order to maintain the proper working
order of filling and seaming equipment and machinery.
Perform and validate changeovers on equipment and machinery as needed including pin height and tooling changes.
Dismantle, evaluate, and rebuild fillers and seamers as needed.
Assist in the Planning process by identifying parts and work required using DMS to enter notifications.
Prioritise work based on business needs.
Maintain a high level of urgency in response to tasks assigned.
Participate in the Breakdown Elimination process in order to reduce the frequency of breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
Maintain and improve 5S standards.
Make decisions that are “best for the business” with regards to maintenance costs and overall productivity.
Perform proper rigging and lifting of equipment and machinery as needed using hoists, cranes, and other rigging equipment.
Keep accurate up to date records of work orders, maintenance activities, and needed repairs utilising DMS to maintain proper records.
Document all seam adjustments in maintenance log books and DMS in order to maintain corporate quality requirements.
Work overtime as required to achieve production and maintenance schedules.
Perform other duties that the Maintenance Foreman might require.

Fitter or equivalent Trade Test.
Minimum N2 Mechanical with Grade 12.
Must have 2 years’ experience with double seaming operations and can adjust and diagnose seaming operations to within specifications to
obtain a qualified seam.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Must have demonstrable knowledge of DMS.
Must possess strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through troubleshooting skills.
Must have the ability to effectively and cooperatively work in a team environment.

Undertake any trial/new product trial runs.
