Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Knowledge of techniques such as root cause analysis, problem solving methodologies and corrective action principles, statistical process
control and work studies.
Knowledge of computer applications, report writing and communication skills and presentation.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for technical tools/knowledge management relating to the product portfolio. Responsible for providing the knowledge and
understanding of key competitor products to the RSA & SSA business.
Responsible for ensuring the local businesses have the technical understanding and training in order to connect with the customer, both
technical & practical application. Manage the dissemination of wider training to customers.
Support Marketing, Commercial Managers & sales teams on a technical level in order to improve customer value adding and therefore create a closer relationship with the consumer/end user to increase the “pull effect”.
Responsible for consolidating technical profiles & sharing with internal team. Consolidate the technical profiles of current and competitor
products in the RSA & SSA product portfolio to support the Marketing team in ensuring that they reflect customer needs and to provide
consistent, authoritative brand positioning.
Supporting business teams to ensure customer needs are met, input is required at the Global/Regional Innovation Platforms to ensure these needs are highlighted and incorporated into the strategic objectives of the business. Contribute to the implementation and development of the business development strategies within the Country Cluster (SSA) & Region (SEEMEA).
Contribute to the management of new technical projects, label extensions, geographic extension of existing products (from idea creation to launch) & operational marketing planning at a technical level.
Represent the business on relevant external committees or expert groups with the aim of influencing others to defend the Business Unit interests.
Participate in the lobbying activities of Business Unit and form and maintain close cooperation from key industry influencers, representatives or bodies.
Contribute & support in the achievement of net sales, MI IIA, per market segment according to budget and propose corrective actions, if
necessary.


Requirements:
Degree - an Entomology or BSc degree will be an advantage
High level of knowledge of insect and rodent biology
At least 10 years’ experience in the vector & Professional Pest Management industry an added advantage
Experience of developing and managing technical presentations
Thorough understanding of the technical characteristics and use of vector & pest control products
Knowledge of vector & PPM industries within RSA & SSA
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to produce reports of a high scientific standard related to development
and technical issues of the Business Unit product portfolio
Fully computer literate.
Good interpersonal skills

NPD Technologist who has sound experience developing meat products req for well known company. The incumbent will ensure that food safety standards, product quality and logistical standards are met by constant liaison with suppliers and category technologists. Responsibilities:
Product development within the division in accordance with the company processes and development criteria.
Analyse sales/wastage/growth figures (in conjunction with Buyer) as part of a strategic product development strategy.
Ensure the successful launch of all new products, both regionally and nationally.
Ensure that products are developed and launched within the stipulated launch periods.
Create product specifications for all new products, and put together packaging artwork briefs.
Prepare samples and test formulations.
Attend factory trials at the suppliers with Food Technologists.
Facilitate process development with Food Technologists.
Present and participate in range reviews.
Review all newly introduced products on an ongoing basis to ensure optimum quality at all times.
Research relevant categories across local and international competitors.
Stay updated with topical issues, current events, food industry & trends, technology etc. at various retailers.


Requirements:
BSc Food Science/Dip Food Tech/Consumer Science
3-5 years experience in value-added NPD - Meat or Fish industry
Must be computer literate (MS Office Programmes)
Strong understanding of protein production and category-specific legislation
Ability to integrate food safety aspects into product development process
Understanding the interaction between different functions of business and commercial drivers
Constantly searches for ways to improve in order to achieve better results through new ideas, dynamic methods and techniques

Nursery QAM and Technical Advisor

Horticulturist or Plant Pathologist who has knowledge of general plant propagation, nursery processes and plant pathology req for agribusiness division within this well-known group. The incumbent will ensure that all plants entering and leaving the nurseries are of the highest quality and also assist growers with technical advice when planting trees. Travel nationally and into Africa will be required.


Requirements:
BTech Horticulture or Plant Pathology or similar
English (written and spoken) and an African language
Plant propogation


Responsibilities:
Ensure that plants delivered to clients adhere to and surpass the minimum requirements.
Ensure the efficient running of nursery sanitation procedures by observing and reporting deviances.
QC of tree health in the nursery relating to disease, insect populations and viroids.
Closely cooperate with the ARC on sampling methods etc.
Develop a reliable and accurate register for all mother materials used in nurseries.
Investigate improved methods to ensure a sterile environment in the nurseries.
