Sales Account Manager

Pigments/Inks/Colour
Industrial Sector - South Africa

 

Well known colour/pigment supplier has a vacancy for an Account Manager who will develop the pigment and dye division in the industrial sector. Responsibilities:
Development and execution of Sales plan to achieve target
Develop and implement Sales initiatives and strategies to target customer for new business development
Identify and promote products to Industries where dyes and pigments used.
Customer site visits to discuss their needs, sales promotion and to assess the quality of company’s relationship with them and collect market knowledge
Encourage on generating new leads through telephone conversations, exhibition and other databases (Google, magazine, etc)
Generate leads and close new deals
Prepare Sales Budget on CRM
Benchmarking competitors: Analyze and collect competitor information to improve sales strategies.
Discuss Price quotations, samples requests , projects utilising in-house CRM follow internal procedure
Exhibitions – Participation &/or attendance required
Diagnose causes of customer complaints, and give solution.
Follow up critical debtors with sales team.
Team working with internal departments in day to day tasks.
Set target, evaluate and monitor to ensure company targets are met.
Discuss and provide weekly and monthly report of sales team


Requirements:
Fluent in writing and spoken English and local languages
Extensive customer contact for product promotion.
Technical and brief application knowledge
Use of IT ( SAP, SAGE, Microsoft word, excel, access and Internet)
Sales experience in business to business selling

Responsibilities:
Customer service.
Production of quality trees.
Deliver profitability - accurate input into budget, control wage costs, stock management, cull rates, cost per tree.
Efficient supply chain management - procurement of consumables, service requests, planning of dispatch.
Management of staff - resource planning, performance management, employee relations management, team development, career counselling and
coaching, labour recruitment and manage worker committees.


Requirements:
B.Sc Agric or similar qualification
Nursery management and clonal tree production techniques.
Labour motivation course.
Business / Management course
Fully computer literate (MS Office (Word and Excel), Microsoft AX).
