Account Manager

Paints and Coatings

Responsibilities:
Manage key Paints & Coatings accounts in region and perform all aspects of the sales function.
Identify opportunities for increasing sales and pursue new business.
Develop volume and margin forecasts,
Develop sales plan strategies to achieve growth.
Develop and implement product development projects.
Negotiate sales rebates and contracts with customers.
Develop and maintain business relationships at all levels within the customer organization.
Determine selling price and margins.
Prepare annual sales budget.
Provide regular summaries and analyses of sales progress and market trends.


Requirements:
Matric
Tertiary qualification in either chemistry, biotechnology or related qualification
Minimum of 5 years experience in chemical sales.
Previous sales or technical experience in the Paints and Coatings industry is preferred
Experience in managing key accounts.
Commercial acumen.

QESH Officer

Abovementioned who has a min of 8 yrs QHSE exp in a chemical plant req for well known and reputable co. Dip in Anal Chem./Chem Eng./Env Management/Safety Management not negotiable.

 

Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors and visitors by establishing and enforcing safety requirements as per OHS Act and BCS QHSE Key Requirements.
Ensure that the hazardous waste incinerator operates within the Atmospheric Emission License (AEL) conditions at all times.
Lead identification of hazards and risks including unsafe acts and operational conditions throughout the site by being hands
on in driving safety on site. Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA) and Task Safety Analysis (TSA) for
operational areas including high risk tasks and ensure that measures are adequate for the risk at hand.
Participate and have valuably input in Hazard Operability (HAZOP) studies as and when required.
Be hands on in operability of the incinerator and be in charge of all waste that is disposed or recycled on site.
Ensure that all bylaws permits are up to date and limits adhered too including the AEL for the hazardous waste incinerator.
Coordinate and lead contractor management on site by ensuring that all contractors comply with the minimum requirements of the Construction Regulations Act.
Approve health and safety files and conduct contractor audits when required. Provide HSE induction to all contractors and
service providers.
Lead incidents investigation of minor incidents and “high risk near misses” and participate in all lost time injury incidents
and significant Loss of Primary Content (LoPC) incidents.
Play an active role in health and safety meetings, chair meetings if need be and ensure that all actions raised are followed
up and executed.
Participate in Health Safety Representatives inspections from time to time to ensure that high level of inspections is achieved.
Represent the organisation in industry associations and forums when required and participate in both internal and supplier
audits and government department’s inspections.
Support all QHSE initiatives and projects at operational level including not limited to 5S, BBS, OEE, Move and Green Area
Meetings.


Requirements:
Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Management or Safety Management or Analytical Chemistry or any Engineering discipline but with a chemical background a must.
Have a minimum of 8 years’ experience of which 5 years was hands on operational level experience as a QHSE Officer in a chemical plant and supervisory skills also a must.
SAMTRAC or Risk Management Qualification, or International General Certificate (IGC) in Health and Safety, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, Responsible Care knowledge, Sound working knowledge of Global Harmonized System Labelling of Chemicals would be advantageous.
Computer literate, Microsoft packages including word, excel, PowerPoint and good presenting skills.
Be active, energetic, challenger of status quo, innovative, take initiatives, self-driven, confident and be able work with
minimum supervision.
Be able to work and handle pressure during audits, incidents and government inspections.
Sound and working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and its regulations and environmental legislation.

Intl chemical manufacturer and distributor has a vacancy for the abovementioned who will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the Company’s products in the Mining industry,optimizing market share and profit margins, and ensuring that the commercial interests of division are supported and grown across the Sub-Saharan region.


Responsibilities:
Maintaining and developing relationships with customers and other relevant organisations across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Providing technical support to Customers in the region.
Arranging and conducting relevant training at customer plants.
Supporting commercial and technical negotiations, tender participation, technical consultation, co-operation with mining
companies, R&D institutes, equipment suppliers, etc.
Active representation of company's interests in the industry (e.g. joining industry associations, giving presentations at
conferences, writing technical papers for scientific journals, etc.)
Supervising plant or pilot-plant trials when required.
Supporting customer technical staff to ensure operational optimization.
Ensure on-going market intelligence (e.g. market demand analysis, market share calculation, etc.).


Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required.
Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin (written and spoken) and English (written and spoken).
A minimum of four years business development and sales experience within the mining industry required while good market knowledge
of the industry would be beneficial.
This role will require travel in and around Sub-Saharan African. Willingness and ability to travel is essential.
A valid driver’s license is necessary for this role.

Responsibilities:
Actively develops new business in and around LIMPOPO and maintains current business.
Expands current business with existing customers and seeks new applications for existing products.
Liaises with customers to identify water treatment needs for new and existing applications.
Provides technical service to customers.
Improves sales and technical skills as well as product knowledge through continual training and attendance at professional
meetings and conferences.
Maintains expenses within budget limits.
Provides service call reports, and all required reports in a neat, timely and orderly manner.
Managing the FMCG in the Limpopo area.
Responsible for the day to day running of these sites.
Managing/overseeing laborers on site.
Reporting to the role players on these sites.
Expanding the business within the FMCG portfolio.


Requirements:
Matric/Grade 12 + Diploma in Chemistry / Water Treatment field would be an advantage.
Minimum of 2 years chemical experience.
Water treatment (boilers, cooling, effluent) experience is essential.
Strong technical (problem solving) capabilities are essential.
Sales experience (in the water treatment field) is a definite plus.
Valid SA driver’s license.
Need to reside within the Limpopo Area.
