Responsibilities:
Lead daily Engineering meeting
Budget review with stores admin. Check maintenance spend MTD. Sign-off orders.
DOR preparation. Total breakdowns. 5 WHY
Meet with Production Manager and review yields and efficiency file, prep for 11am meeting with Plant Engineer and Plant Manager.
Refresh job cards.
Daily PM planning.
OPEX projects
CI projects.
Weekend PM planning and contractor planning.
Artisan on-the-job-training with morning shift.
Engineering staff monthly performance reviews.
Food safety program review.
Attend all plant HOD meetings.


Requirements:
Electro-mechanical Trade Test (e.g. Millwright) or equivalent
8+ years’ experience in technical position
Proficiency with multiple manufacturers automation hardware and software (PLC)
5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role

Responsibilities:
Responsible for researching, designing, planning, implementing, directing and coordinating, usually through subordinate, construction and
maintenance of agricultural structures, facilities and systems. Participating in the conceptual development of most projects, especially in
mechanisation, packhouses, renewable energy, resource use management and efficient and effective use of energy.


Requirements:
Registered Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa with BSc-Eng/BEng-Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering
Financial Management: Have experience with financial statements, budget control and CAPEX
5 to 10 years’ direct experience in the packhouse design, energy and management in agricultural industry
Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, draw and read blueprints and understand all technical aspects of construction
Certificate in Health and Safety training.
Must be computer literate and have a sound knowledge of software MS Word, Excel, Civil designer, Caddie, AutoCAD and GIS systems
Valid SA driver’s license

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of artisans.
Demonstrate behaviors in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries. Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF), HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Effectively and accurately troubleshoot and make routine adjustments and repairs to industrial equipment and machinery to maintain
production and maintenance schedules.
Experience in package equipment (Cameron 226 square Seamers), labelling Machines, shrink-wrapping, Depalletisers and palletizers
Monitor repairs and validate that the problem has been solved.
Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is assigned and completed.
Validate changeovers on equipment and machinery as needed including pin height and tooling changes.
Dismantle, evaluate, and rebuild fillers and seamers as needed.
Assist in the Planning process by identifying parts and work required using DMS to enter notifications.
Maintain a high level of urgency in response to tasks assigned.
Participate in the Breakdown Elimination process to reduce the frequency of breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
Delegate tasks to artisans
Ensure critical spares are available and ordered to prevent downtime.
Ensure cost is within budget.
Close out NCR ‘s within specified time frame.
Maintain and improve 5S standards.
Manage overtime of artisans and assistants.
Make decisions that are “best for the business” with regards to maintenance costs and overall productivity.
Document all seam adjustments in maintenance log books and DMS in to maintain corporate quality requirements.
Maintain continuity among work teams by using DMS to document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Follow Maintenance Standard Procedures and seek to improve machinery specific procedures where possible.
Share knowledge and experience with others including dedicated training as assigned.
Ensure safety rules are complied with.


Requirements:
Fitter or equivalent Trade Test
Minimum N3 Mechanical,with Grade 12
Must have managed a team of artisans
Must have 2 years’ experience with double seaming operations and can adjust and diagnose seaming operations to within
specifications to obtain a qualified seam.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational
equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime
reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.


Requirements:
Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTech NQF5
Extensive plant level (FMCG) experience with significant proven man management experience
Completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with a mechanical/ electrical/ electronic discipline
Technical capability and understanding
Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), lean manufacturing
Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance
Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Requirements:
BSc / B Eng / B Tech – Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumental Engineering
GCC (Government Competency Certificate) will be advantage
Knowledge financial measurements of Operations, Capital Management experience or advanced Management qualifications
Extensive experience using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), ERP and other relevant computer software and systems effectively
Operational systems experience using SHOPWARE
5+ years of experience applying Lean and 5S techniques in a Lean manufacturing environment
5+ years production experience in a food, chemical, beverage or related batch and ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
5+ knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering functions is essential
5+ as a Maintenance Manager/Plant Operations
3+ years of experience in cross-functional project or program management
5+ World Class Manufacturing exposure to both processes, practices and equipment
In excess of 10 yrs experience in total
